For the first time I'm joining in the Friday Night Sew In!
The third Friday of each month there's a virtual sew in.
For last night
I made up another set of strips and attached them to Ryan's Trip.
I'm doing this one a bit different-
I was always forgetting that the stripes run in different directions
then having to un-sew and fix
So this time I broke the design into four parts.
That means that there might be fewer than 9 strips in each block.
That's okay though,
No un-sewing.
Oh, who am I kidding
There will be un-sewing!
Then I made a couple of blue 9-patch block
as leader/enders for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
I've done this one before.
Then I went out on adventures so I stopped.
But since I'm wanting to use up fabric I thought I'd join again!
I have a LOT of blue fabric!
I'll likely be doing blue's all year along with the other colors.
Finally, I went off to the movies again yesterday.
This time to see The Post.
About Katherine Graham, the Washington Post and the publishing of the Pentagon Papers.
I enjoyed it- Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks what's not to love?
I love watching a woman find her strength in spite of the men!
This particular reporting made the Post into a national paper and went to the Supreme Court.
It ended with the break in at Democratic Headquarters -universally known as Watergate-which ended Nixon's Presidency.
So many parallels between Nixon and he who shall not be named.
I would love to see the same outcome.

Glad you are getting set up for leaders and enders. Having them ready to go makes it so easy to sneak in extra blocks.
Nine patch blocks are great to work with.....so many ways to use them.
Your blues and greens together are just gorgeous! We saw The Post this week, too, and liked it for all the same reasons you mentioned. I was a teenager when that was all happening and really didn't pay much attention to it back then, so it was good to learn about it now!
LOVE that section of Ryan's Trip!!! Good start on your BLUE blocks for the RSC, too.
Ryan's Trip is beautiful.
Great work on Ryan's Trip and some nice blue RSC blocks.
You are making good progress on Ryan’s Trip. Glad you too are joining in on RSC. Have fun with it.
Great start on your RSC - and thanks for the review on the Post - I wnat to see that too
Looks like a productive FNSI. Thanks from me too for The Post review I'd wondered what it was about as all I've seen so far are posters.
Your blues and green are such rich colors, this will finish very prettily.
Welcome to FNSI Gail - great to have you along. I love Ryans Trip, the colours are gorgeous. I also had no trouble in finding blue scraps for RSC - I seem to have more blues than anything else! I'm looking forward to seeing that film, I think Meryl Streep is brilliant. xx
Ryan's Trip is lovely! I'm interested in seeing that film. I wonder if it will show up here - one never knows....
